Camie began her career in Women’s Health as a Labor & Delivery nurse, after receiving her undergraduate nursing degree from the Universityof Florida. She soon realized she wanted to provide women and their families with care beyond their labor and delivery experience. Camie returned to UF;GO GATORS; earning a Master’s Degree in Nursing with speciality as a Nurse-Midwife.
Camie’s 1st position as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) was at Special Beginnings Birth & Gynecology Center; a freestanding birth center; owned by Sandy Williamson, CNM, APRN. Both of her children “Kate” and “Erik” were born at Special Beginnings with nurse-midwives. When her children were teenagers Camie joined a fertility practice giving up call and “catching babies” to spend more time with her family. For the last 10+ years Camie has practiced as an infertility nurse practitioner, nurse-midwife delivering babies at Advent Health Winter Park and as a hospitalist at Winnie Palmer. She is excited to return to full scope midwifery practice with OB GYN Care Group, Dr Cascio, Dr Morning, Sandy Williamson, CNM, APRN and staff.
